About dual-fuel vehicles
Published: September/6/2025
One of the initiatives implemented in recent years across the country is the plan to equip vehicles with CNG fuel tanks. In fact, following the rationing of gasoline and the increase in its free-market price, many drivers have turned to alternative fuels in order to meet their vehicle's fuel needs at a lower cost. On the other hand, in response to this growing demand from drivers and the importance of reducing gasoline consumption due to limited national resources, the government has launched a new public program for free conversion of vehicles to dual-fuel (CNG). As a result, all owners of public transport vehicles, as well as drivers of private vehicles operating in public fleets, such as Snapp, Tap30, and others, can benefit from the full or partially subsidized conversion of their vehicles under this free dual-fuel program. Applicants can register on the website to schedule an appointment for converting their vehicles to dual-fuel. This article provides detailed information about the program, as well as guidance on registering for personal vehicle conversion, Nissan dual-fuel registration, free dual-fuel registration for vans and Snapp vehicles, and other related services.
Collaborations between local manufacturers and research centers have improved conversion kits’ durability while reducing installation costs. Government subsidies and reduced import tariffs have supported the industry's growth.
